Join us for a special gathering as Patio Chum & Tendermesh present “One Day in the Patio” at Mena Berlin on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
“One Day in the Patio” will be a unique opportunity for musicians, visual artists, and audience to come together and share in the spirit of curiosity and creativity.
Throughout the evening, a diverse lineup of musicians, live electronic acts, and DJs will blend ambient, electronica, downtempo, and noise across two stages. Meanwhile, Tendermesh will be hosting a more intimate group exhibition involving 10 artists of all different disciplines.
“One Day in the Patio” is a playground, an ode to the simple pleasure of creating without pretension.

Why are we doing this?
A few weeks ago, an opportunity arose for us to take charge of the Mena venue in Kreuzberg, Berlin, and organize a concert with a support act. When we asked about the event’s duration, we were informed it could run from 7 pm to 4 am. Instantly, my face lit up – I knew what I wanted to do.
To create a space and time to allow local creatives to be free to play, experiment and connect. To leave behind the conventional productivity-driven and business-oriented mindset that is present in today’s society. Instead, we aspire to transform the venue into a rehearsal room for musicians and an atelier for visual artists, so we can all play collectively, with no further pretension.
This initiative is inspired by Berlin’s past, when a similar approach, a product of its historical context, enabled the city to evolve into a creative hub ⤵
